Share Your World–2015 Week 24

Share Your World

Here are Cee’s questions and my answers for this week. I hope you’ll share your responses in a post and link to Cee’s blog, or share your answers in the comments below. It’s always good to hear from you.

What’s your favorite charitable cause and why?
The Salvation Army; they have a variety of outreach programs and help a lot of people without taking huge salaries out of the donations.

What color do you feel most comfortable wearing?
Mid-range values of warm colors.

If you had your own talk show, who would be your first three guests? (Guests can be dead, alive, famous, or just someone you know.)
Karen Margulis, pastel artist
Naomi Baltuck, writer, blogger (wonderful storyteller)
Russell Gayer, author, blogger (humor)–it’ll probably be his show after that!

List:  What are at least five places you’ve enjoyed visiting?
South Carolina–several cities, love, love, love it!
Walt Disney World
Ocracoke Island, NC
Savannah, GA
Fredericksburg, VA

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful for the new fan hubby found to tide us over until the a/c is replaced.
Looking forward to planning a weekend getaway.

Good Fences #31

I kept an eye out for Good Fences while on vacation, too. My long-suffering hubby was so patient while I made frequent stops to photograph everything I saw.

This Great Egret mingled with the visitors in the park. It timidly moved step by step as everyone with a camera gathered around for photo ops.

If you look closely, there’s a fence at the base of the lighthouse.

I liked the colorful houses at Kure Beach, NC. It was such a happy place, though that area bears the brunt of many an Atlantic hurricane.

Wild Bird Wednesday #119–Brown Pelican

I’d better hurry and post if I want to get the Brown Pelican in while it is still Wednesday! I got carried away sorting photos into albums and the time flew by. We saw so many Brown Pelicans while we were vacationing along the lower east coast of the U.S. This one had the prime spot on a piling while the others waited patiently on the pier for their ship to come in.

Share Your World–2013 Week 16

It’s time to Share Your World with Cee, and me–and the rest of Cyber World, come to think of it.

1. Are you awake before dawn? Or are you awake before noon?

If I have caffeine late in the day, I might still be up at dawn! (That has happened a time or two.) Typically, I’m a night owl, so I’m rarely up early in the morning.

2. Are you usually late, early, or right on time?

Usually early, sometimes right on time.

3. For your potato chips, do you prefer ridged or flat ones?

I rarely eat potato chips, but I would use ridged for dip, and kettle-cooked crunchy flat ones all by themselves.

4. If you could inherit a vacation home anywhere in the world in which you could spend two months a year, where would it be?

Somewhere along the South Carolina coast.

That’s it for Week 16. I hope you’ll leave your answers in the comments below, or create your own post and link to Cee’s Share Your World page.

Share Your World–2013 Week 4

Can it really be week four already? Cee is changing things up a bit this week, here is what she would like us to do:

Almost everyone has heard of a bucket list which is a list of things you want to do before you die.  List 4 things off your bucket list that you would like to share with us.  Assume that money is no object.  Have a lot of fun with it.  Would you like to fly to the moon, dive to the bottom of the ocean, live a month in India or learn how to tap dance?  What is on your list?

This is even harder than some of her questions! THOUGHT is going to be required, since I’ve never made a Bucket List. Have you made one? Be sure to tell me what is on yours in the comments below, or create your own post and link to Cee’s blog.

The first thing on my list is to get my mother’s wedding ring back from the console of my SUV which ate it today. I was picking up a friend from her car repair shop, and decided to put some lotion on my hands while waiting. I laid my rings atop the console, where mom’s ring slid forward and disappeared into the small space between the radio/climate control panel and the console.

Second, I would like to spend an indefinite amount of time exploring the beaches of North Carolina and South Carolina. However, this time would not coincide with active Atlantic hurricanes. M

Third, I would love to meet as many of my blogging friends as possible.

Fourth, take a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer through the Canadian Rockies.

Big dreams! What are yours?share-your-world2
