Share Your World–2014 Week 42

Cee has prepared questions for us once again. That week number is drawing closer to 52; can we really be ten weeks from 2015? (See how I’m already practicing 2015, so when 2015 rolls around, I shall adapt quickly?) Ha! We’ll see if that works!

What would be your preference, awake before dawn or awake before noon?
8:00 a.m. works best for me, I guess I’m splitting the difference.

If you could choose between Wisdom and Luck, which one would you pick?
Wisdom.

If you were given the opportunity for free skydiving lessons would you take them? Why or why not?
I’d like to wait until that opportunity presents itself before making a decision. We took a helicopter ride while on vacation. I think I’d prefer staying inside the vehicle–but one never knows!

Is the glass half empty or half full? What is in the glass?
I don’t know about the glass, but my shoes are full of sand. 😉

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful we had a few days and perfect weather to be free to explore new places; I’m looking forward to a writing workshop Saturday and getting back to church Sunday after missing a couple of weeks with travel. I’m also grateful our pastor’s video messages are available on the church’s website,
kpc.org. It’s not the same as being there in person, though.

Share Your World–2013 Week 36

It’s Share Your World at Cee’s new blog! I hope you’ll join us and share your answers to Cee’s four questions. The instructions are on her blog at the blue-highlighted link above.

1. What’s your least favorite mode of transportation?

Boat

2. Where do you like to vacation?

Southeastern U.S. coastal areas; Walt Disney World, Florida

3. Which place do you recommend as a Must-See? Please state which country, state, or province.

I have to recommend the state of Virginia in the United States. There is something here for everyone: mountains, whitewater rapids, beaches, Chesapeake Bay, military, history, Appalachian Trail, botanical gardens, NASCAR–you name it, we probably have it.

4. If money was not an issue, would you go on a cruise? If so, where would you go?

No.

That’s it for this week. You can create your own blog post and link to Cee’s, or leave your answers in the comments below. It’s always fun to see what you have to say. share-your-world2

Word a Day-Author

I recently found and started following a new blog titled My Life in Photos. Readers are challenged to post a photo to match a randomly selected word for the day. I thought it looked like fun, and since I am in need of a blog post for Monday, decided this would be a good time to try it.

I scrolled through the pictures on my computer beforehand, and found one that is very fitting for my state of mind right now. Then I went to find Monday’s word, and decided this is the perfect opportunity to pair them.

The word is Author. Since I’ve been portraying one as a blogger, and NaNoWriMo participant this month, while keeping up trying to keep up with a normal daily routine, and plan for holidays and special occasions that approach quickly…

…well, this picture sums it up pretty well right now.

Hope you have a great week!

1Hear my cry, O God,
listen to my prayer;
2from the end of the earth I call to you
when my heart is faint.
Lead me to the rock
that is higher than I,
3for you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the enemy.
4Let me dwell in your tent forever!
Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings!
Psalm 61:1-4

Taking You Along

This was the view out my window Sunday morning.

Morning view (through window)

Was here Sunday afternoon.

And so was this gull–sitting pretty.

After three days of hotel-hopping and sight-seeing, we arrived at our destination. I think my hubby must have prayed for a time of peace and quiet; I woke up with laryngitis! 🙂
