Friday’s Hunt

This week we’re searching for Starts with G, Candy, and Latch

Starts with G: Great Egret

Found this one at Lake Lawson Lake Smith Park

Armed with only a cell phone camera today, I saw this Great Egret (below) at its usual dinner post near Hobby Lobby. (Shot through dirty windshield).

Share Your World–2014 Week 8

It’s Share Your World! Here are our questions for this week:

Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers?

I would rather have $100,000 to share anonymously. Just imagine the good that could be done with that much money.

When you’re 90 years old, what will matter most to you?

The same as today, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is in Him that I live, move, and have my being.

Candy factories of the entire world have become one and will now be making only one kind of candy. Which kind, if you were calling the shots?

M&Ms

So, you’re on your way out and it’s raining. Do you know where your umbrella is or do you frantically search for it all over your apartment/house?

We don’t bother with an umbrella, but opt for a raincoat with a hood. The winds we get are not kind to umbrellas. However, if our friend over at Lilli-put has his way, there will be a monsoon of peanut butter cups and our inverted umbrellas will hold a lot of them! You should check out his blog when you have a few minutes, just click the previous highlighted link.

Share Your World–Week 43

I’m trying something new today! I found Cee’s blog where she posts four questions each week. It looks like a good way to get to know each other. Unless, like Cee said, you just make it up if you don’t know the answer!  You can follow her blog and play along, or you may answer the questions in the comment section. Let’s have some fun!

  1. If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
  2. What is set as the background on your computer?
  3. Would you rather swim, dance, walk, weight lift or jog?
  4. Where do you hide junk when people come over?

1. Peanut M&Ms. That qualifies as food, right? They are sold in the grocery store…Chobani Pineapple Yogurt would be my second choice.
2. A picture taken at my in-law’s home in West Virginia. Temporarily. I like to change it weekly monthly from time to time.

3. I would rather walk.
4. If the grandchildren visit, some items are stashed in my sewing room, behind a closed door. Otherwise, my junk is out for everyone to see. This is who I am. I’ve always liked the quote, “If you want to see me, come anytime, if you want to see my house, make an appointment.” However, I don’t see any appointments opening up until the next century. I was going to share my desk with you, but decided to wait until I could find it. Here’s a small section of it covered with collage papers, the altered book I’ve been working on, and the current issue of Somerset Apprentice. I’m looking forward to learning some new techniques. You didn’t think I bought it only because it had a bird on it, did you?
