Share Your World–2013 Week 37

It’s Share Your World day, so put on your thinking cap: Ready, Set, GO

1. What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Bird Watching (and squirrel, and bunny, and pretty much anything else that shows up).

2. Do you prefer your food separated or mixed together?

I prefer foods that are supposed to be mixed together (like Nachos and Lasagna, e.g.) to be mixed together, otherwise, they are free to roam about the plate.

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

I like where we live now, but it would be nice to be closer to our grandchildren. They are growing up too fast.

4. What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?

I can pick only one? I guess there are none that I “absolutely hate,” but there are other things I’d rather do.

There you have it for this week. You may create your own post and link to Cee’s blog, or answer in the comment section below. I always enjoy reading what you have to say.

Adventures of Andy–Virginia Beach Part 1

Andy is the perfect house guest! He makes his bed every morning, and has been very helpful around the house. Sending thanks to Lenore Diane, who is loaning him out to travel the world.

He insists his legs are too short to facilitate washing windows.

Since he’s been working so hard, and enjoys watching birds fly in and out of the yard, we decided to take him to the air show this weekend to see some serious flying. That will be shown in Part 2.

Fabric shopping and Skinny Dipping

Saturday morning, I sat in my studio with the best intentions. The laundry was coming along swimmingly, and I’d even started a housework to-do list. But I was saved by the bell! Ok, the ringing of the phone. They’re similar! My good friend, SuziCate, called and was in need of shopping therapy. I couldn’t let her go it alone. After all, it was kind of my fault she was in such a predicament. She saw my Tropical Quilt UFO and was inspired to make a scenic quilt that had been piecing itself together in her head. Now she just needed the fabric to make it reality. Who was I to quash creativity in another? To seal the deal, she even played on my weakness for Skinny Dip, the frozen yogurt shop. That girl knows me too well.

She got Southern Strawberry and Birthday Cake, I got French Vanilla Coffee with a swirl of Hershey’s chocolate. Mmmmmmm

What’s your favorite way to spend a Saturday?
