Friday Randomness

Friday Randomness

Sharing a few random thoughts from this week.

1. Our pretty yellow Goldfinch is losing his brilliant feathers already.

Someone needs to clean the birdbath…

2. I learned a shadier spot will decrease algae growth in the birdbath. Looks like we’ll need to move it.

3. I walked around the lake at Mt. Trashmore this afternoon, and around the neighborhood with hubby this evening. Nothing but blue sky this afternoon.

4. Lots of company at the park on a beautiful day.

5. I liked the Great Blue Heron‘s reflection earlier this week.

That’s it for my randomness. What have you been up to?
I’m having trouble staying awake, hope to catch up with your blogs this weekend. Have a great one!

Weekly Photo Challenge–Spring; Today’s Flowers

Prompt for Weekly Photo Challenge: Spring

Here are signs of spring in Virginia:

Goldfinches sport their bright colors.
Irises are in bloom…
…and so is the catmint.

I hope this brightens your day.

God saw all that He made, and behold, it was very good.

A Thursday Visit

I’ve missed visiting with you, and sharing what’s going on in my life. Sadly, not much, but that won’t stop me.

In the backyard:

A walk around the neighborhood:

as you can see, we've had plenty of rain

In the house:

Another Monday Mix

We had a productive weekend. Saturday we worked really hard at doing nothing, watched part of an NCIS marathon. I thought we would have seen all the episodes by now, but some we haven’t seen pop up occasionally. Sunday we made a grocery run. We hoped to beat the rain, but it arrived earlier than anticipated. Then it turned to a rain/snow mix. No accumulation. I hope those of you north and west of us fared well with the snow that came your way.

A goldfinch came by last week, sporting a few bright yellow feathers.

A pair of cardinals also paid us a visit.

The yellow-rumped warbler was camouflaged by the new leaf growth.

How was your weekend?

Monday Mix-Up

I’ve been fighting a cold the last 3-4 days. As much as I’ve slept, I should look a lot better–beauty sleep and all.

Looking all cute--check out that BLUE sky, too!
