No Parking

No Parking

I stopped by The Home Depot today for another Jiffy greenhouse to start seeds for purple coneflowers and zinnias. I planted Shasta daisy seeds in March, and the sprouts are coming right along.

As I walked to my car, I noticed this fellow parked in a prime spot. Maybe he is employee of the month?

And then, I saw this:

We’ll be busy with family the next few days, so I’ll see you the first of the week. I hope you have a great weekend–and watch where you park!

Willy Nilly Friday 5 #48

Willy Nilly Friday 5–Randomness

1. A Grackle juvenile crossed the feeder several times figuring out how to get to the seed.

2.  They don’t need lessons when it comes to water…

3. …or finding their own earthworms.

4. This Brown-headed Cowbird came with the Grackle family. (A bit of a blur–he was busy!)

5. Canada Geese at the botanical garden.

Around and About

I had to be up early to drive hubby to work, so I snapped a few shots of autumn in December to share with you.

A Painted Bunting (male) visited us for the first time 12/3.
Can you find the Great Blue Heron?

Great Egret and Canada Geese

There are fences in the background of some of these, but they blend into the scenery. Honest! How about a bulkhead, then? It fences the water in…?

Phoneography Challenge: My Neighborhood

This week’s challenge is to take a stroll through our neighborhood and document our findings with our phone’s camera. The post was to be created using the phone, too, but I’d already synced to my laptop and cropped photos when I came to that realization.
