Friday rolls around once again–and nearly rolled over me this week! I need to step up my game.
This week, the hunt is on for Starts with E, Week’s Favorite, and Personal.
E is for evening on Edenton Bay–beautiful in ALL SEASONS.
My favorite this week was catching the Northern Mockingbird preening his feathers.
Making it personal—
Bring your photo choices and join the fun! The link to Friday’s Hunt is live until Sunday at 7:00 P.M. Central Time.
Here are this week’s prompts:
Starts with C, Week’s Favorite, Odd Angle
Zygodactyl feet (two toes pointing forward and two back) allow Downy Woodpeckers to cling at odd angles.
Wow, the past week zoomed by at an even higher rate of speed than expected. I don’t want to miss Friday’s Hunt, so I’d better get a move on. This week we’re looking for Starts with V, Week’s Favorite, and Thankful.
Doing something different for the first prompt, the tree, brought to you by the letter “V.”
My Week’s Favorite can also be found overhead.
Thankful. So many reasons, but to narrow the field to a few, I’m thankful for this peaceful slice of sun-dappled green space on the outskirts of the city.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and survived the Black Friday shopping madness. I avoided it (shopping) this year, and spent time with family–another thing for which to be thankful–hubby’s employer instituted a new policy this year, closing the day after the holiday. We greatly appreciate it.
This week we’re hunting: Starts with N, Week’s Favorite, I Made This
If you’ve ever been to the Hampton Roads area (SE Virginia), you would appreciate this view of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT)–NO TRAFFIC
Photography composition recommends the horizon fall at 1/3 of the photo–sorry, I could NOT crop that gorgeous sky, even with the tint showing across the top of the windshield.
My Week’s Favorite is a recent colorful sunset.
For I Made This, a mixed-media journal cover work-in-progress. The birds are a stencil from StencilGirl Products.
Waiting to hear from our granddaughter who left Friday for a mission trip to Central America. She’ll be home for Christmas!
It’s that time of the week–on this Friday’s Hunt, we’re looking for Starts with L, Week’s Favorite, and Critter.
Starts with L: Larva
This is the larva of the Regal Moth, Citheronia regalis. The caterpillar (larva) is also known as the Hickory Horned Devil.
Friday’s Hunt 2.6
This week features Starts with F, Week’s Favorite, and Shiny
Starts with F: This is another house we saw in Edenton, NC. A Fixer-upper, with a Fence.
My Week’s Favorite: The warmth of “golden hour” just before sunset outshone the dramatic contrast in the clouds.
The shiny tabletop at Edenton Coffee House Bakery & Cafe reflected the overhead fluorescent lights.
Everyone is invited to play along with Friday’s Hunt, just pop on over to Eden Hills for the prompts and time to share:
Share Your World
Here are Cee’s questions for this week’s Share Your World. I hope you’ll share your answers, too!
What is the perfect pizza?
I don’t eat it often, but my favorite is from Pizza Hut, a personal pan pizza with red onions and green peppers.
What is your favorite time of day?
My favorite time of day is when I first wake up, before I get out of bed. Those last few minutes snuggled in there are bliss.
Show us two of your favorites photographs. The photos can be from anytime in your life span. Explain why they are your favorite.
I like this one because the glass reflects the brilliant blue sky behind me.
Miss Z–This one cracks me up!
Complete this sentence: I’m looking forward to….
Wednesday. Tuesday is shaping up to be a busy day.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful to make progress on cleaning and getting rid of clutter. (Where does all that paper come from?) I look forward to writers group this week.
