Share Your World

Here are Cee’s questions for this week. I hope you’ll share your answers, too.

How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
That would depend on the day. Some days I’d be the 5-year-old who wants ice cream for dinner, some days I’d like to attempt things I could do physically when I was 30, once in awhile, I feel my real age–or beyond!

So, you’re on your way out and it’s raining. Do you know where your umbrella is or do you frantically search for it all over your apartment/house?
No, I’d have on my Eddie Bauer raincoat with a hood.

Do you recharge your energy by going out with friends for a good time or by spending quiet time alone?
I typically recharge spending quite time alone, but if I haven’t seen my friends in awhile, they provide the little extra spark.

Name three things you and your spouse, partner, or best friend  to have in common.
Spouse:
1) We have the same address
2) We both like NCIS
3) We prefer to take the road less traveled

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful I got to attend the women’s ministry brunch last Saturday; I’m getting a slow-and-steady start on spring cleaning, and look forward to feeling better and accomplishing things. I’m trying something different, I’ve broken the cleaning projects into categories. I’m starting with floors, taking my time; then I’ll move onto another category. It doesn’t seem so
overwhelming this way.

Here are Cee’s questions for this week, are you ready?

Do you push the elevator button more than once?  Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?
No, only once. It’ll get there when it gets there.

Do you plan out things usually or do you do them more spontaneous (For example, if you are visiting a big city you don’t know.)
We tend to start out with a plan, but not so rigid we can’t make room for spontaneity.

Describe yourself in at least four uplifting words.
Friendly, joyful, sincere, encouraging.

If you had a choice which would be your preference salt water beaches, fresh water lakes, ocean cruise, hot tub, ski resort or desert?
Tough choice for me between the salt-water beach and fresh-water lake. The vastness of the ocean keeps life in perspective, but the lake is less crowded (typically).

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
It wasn’t losing an hour of sleep! LOL I feel like I got a lot accomplished last week, and I’m looking forward to a slower pace this week.

Now it’s YOUR turn to Share YOUR World! Love to hear from you.

Another warm weekend is in the books and today we celebrate President’s Day with lots of sales and a holiday for some people. I’m not out shopping, though, I’d rather be blogging–much easier on the wallet!

Here are Cee’s questions and my answers for this week:

When you cut something with scissors, do you move your jaw (as if you were about to chew)?
Sorry for the delay–had to grab scissors and paper and do some research. The results are in: No, I do not.

Do you chew your pens and pencils?
No. No research required on that one!

Are you a collector of anything?  If so what?
I collect too many things! Paper, thimbles, art supplies, Pfaltzgraff Folk Art stoneware. Our favorite son-in-law calls it “Old Folks.” He’s a great husband and daddy, so we let it slide…

Also, I like this kind of pottery and found this little treasure this weekend. It’s just shy of 4″ tall and Mountain Sorghum is stamped on it.

What size is your bed?
King.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Grateful for another pleasant weekend, and hubby didn’t have to work; looking forward to massage, writers group, and friend time.

Time for Share Your World! Here are the questions for this week:

Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
Tucked in, please.

Have you stolen a street sign before?
No.

Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?
I try to use them, but sometimes I forget about them; other times, I decide I didn’t really need that item.

Do you have freckles?
Not usually, but sometimes they’ll peek out in the summer.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful to have attended worship service Sunday after being out of town the last two weekends, and that I was able to get out and walk without my knee bothering me–almost 15 miles between Saturday and Sunday! I look forward to getting back into an exercise routine.

Last night, I realized there were over 1200 emails in my inbox–blog posts I haven’t read. I don’t think that’s going to happen, so I’m trying to delete some of them. (This is so hard!) But I will try to do a better job of keeping up. Thanks for being my blogging friends.

Here are Cee’s questions for this week. Are you ready?

Regarding your fridge, is it organized or a mess inside?
It’s fairly organized.

Do you prefer your food separated or mixed together?
I assume this refers to a protein, carb, and fruit/vegetable plate, in which I would like them to be separated.

Do you prefer reading coffee table books (picture), biographies, fiction, non-fiction, educational?
I’d read any of these, though I do find biographies rather interesting.

Close your eyes. Listen to your body. What part of your body is seeking attention? What is it telling you?
I’m being swallowed by the chair and my back tells me to sit up straight.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m very thankful to have only a few scratches on my car; I’m looking forward to feeling better after today’s appointment with my massage therapist.

Now it’s YOUR turn! I look forward to reading your answers.

Blackwater Falls frozen (click link for images) in winter, and experiencing Canaan Valley, WV, in a Jeep.

How many siblings do you have? What’s your birth order?
I have three brothers–the best was saved for last. 😀

If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?
I’d be a hiking boot–protective, supportive, and to share the beauty of Nature.

What is the strangest/weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
To my knowledge, I’ve never eaten strange/weird food, unless you consider some of the  things I made when learning to cook.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful for time with family and friends, and look forward to more of the same.
