It’s been awhile since I’ve participated in Share Your World, and I’ve missed you! Here are Cee’s questions for this week, and my answers. I hope you’ll share your world, too!
If you were given the opportunity to ride in a helicopter, would you go? Yes! We did avail ourselves of this opportunity on a trip through Myrtle Beach, SC. We chose the least expensive option, just to try it out. There’s no lying about one’s weight–it is required to step onto their scale. This was our view from the air on an overcast day, which delayed our ride until it cleared to a certain point.
What are some of your favorite type of proteins to eat? (meat, seafood, eggs, soy, cheese, nuts) Nuts, cheese, Greek yogurt, eggs, legumes, and chicken are my favorite sources of protein.
What would be your preference: Awake before dawn, at dawn, or awake before noon? Looks to me like all three choices are before noon–LOL! However, my night-owl tendencies nullify the first two choices, most of the time.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. A ray of sunshine peeking through the leaves of the oak highlighted the bunny and inspired this photo.
I’m late to the “Share Your World” party, again. We were quite late getting home Sunday. As we neared the tunnel, it became evident three lanes of traffic were merging into one. People were losing patience, three met by accident…Tuesday I met a friend for lunch and visited an antique shop. Hubby woke me this morning to tell me the hot water heater was out of order. Thankfully, ours is in the garage. He took a personal day from work and donned his plumber’s hat.
What do you do when you’re not working? If you are retired, what do you do that is not part of your regular daytime routine? Lately, blogging slipped from my regular routine, so it’s nice to catch up when I can. I enjoy online workshops for mixed media art, card making, jewelry making.
What would you do if you won the lottery? That would require a good deal of thought, to use it wisely.
What makes you laugh the most? Two shows, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” and “The Big Bang Theory.”
What is your biggest pet peeve with modern technology? Trying to maintain internet security.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful we had time with the family; I look forward to progress on our living room project.
Once again it is time to SHARE YOUR WORLD! Here are Cee’s questions, let’s see if we can answer them!
What’s your strongest sense? NONsense.
Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey) Hmm, that could be a different identity for each day of the week. Today, I’ll be Happy.
If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what age would that be? I’d like to go back to when I had eyebrows. Not sure when they disappeared…
List of Jobs You Think You Might Enjoy: Even if you aren’t thinking about a career change, it can be fun to think of other jobs you might enjoy. [Remember: This is SYW where even your dreams can become reality.] This is a tough one, I’m still thinking…
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful to have a wonderful church and pastoral staff; looking forward to family time.
Here are Cee’s questions for this week, are you ready to Share Your World?
What is the most famous landmark or building you have ever seen? A famous landmark would be Walt Disney World, and for the building, I’ll say the Washington Monument. I vaguely remember bits and pieces of a trip to Washington D.C. when I was seven, but I vividly remember the thought of suffocating in the totally-packed elevator that took us to the top of the monument.
Do you like long vacation or lots of mini-vacations? I like vacation. Period.
What is your favorite National or State Park? First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia–my hometown state park!
What is your fantasy vacation? Seeing the Canadian Rockies via rail. Heck, if we’re going for fantasy, let’s go with the rail trip across all of Canada.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Grateful for travel safety for family, furniture shopping…I look forward to warmer weather and all the flowers popping up, baby birds at the feeders…
That’s it for this week’s Share Your World, I hope you’ll share yours, too!
Cee’s questions for this week…and my answers. Come share YOUR world!
What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? I really want to get on the treadmill, but I’d much rather blog.
How often do you get a haircut? Every four to five weeks. I’m wearing it shorter now, and the curls starts to get unruly if they aren’t tamed.
In regards to puzzle what’s your choice: jigsaw, crossword, word search or numeric puzzles? Crossword, though I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, too, especially if working them with the grandkids.
How many cities have you lived? You can share the number of physical residences and/or the number of cities. I’ve lived in two cities, five different residences, total.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Thankful for nice weather last week and the opportunity to get out and walk with my (recently repaired) camera in hand, running into a friend from writers group at the botanical garden, and I found some new capris–that FIT! Three that had seen better days needed to be replaced, but that brand/style is no longer available.
Looks like rain in the forecast (thunderstorm right now) so I’ll look forward to reading–instead of weeding!
I’m glad Cee feels better this week and is ready to Share Your World. Let’s answer this week’s questions:
Have you ever participated in a distance walking, swimming, running, or biking event? Tell your story. Well, that’s a short story. No, I have not.
Name one thing not many people know about you. My first-grade teacher had me stand in front of the classroom and share my hidden talent–reciting the alphabet in reverse order.
What is your favorite flower? This is so hard! Whatever is blooming at the time is my favorite.
Things I want to have in my home (paintings, hot tubs, book cases, big screen tv etc) I think a housekeeper would be nice. 😉
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful my drafting stool arrived a week earlier than expected, and that I could put it together myself. Looking forward to special services this week as we try to grasp the depth of God’s love for us as we mourn at the foot of the Cross on Thursday, and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on Sunday.
Cee’s questions for this week; I hope you’ll share your answers, too!
Does your first or middle name have any significance (or were you named after another family member)? I only know my oldest brother claims to have picked my name.
Music or silence while working? Depends on what I’m doing, however, I’ll listen to birds singing any time.
If you had a special place for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronics, people or animals), what would they be? I referred to Cee’s anwer for clarity on this question–she’s looking for what items (aside from these listed) are special.
1) Art supplies
2) Quilts handed down through family
3) My botanical garden membership (a gift from a friend)
The Never List: What are things you know you never will do? Bungee jumping, aerial acrobatics, get control of my email, get hubby to hike overnight…
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Thankful for warm days and walks at the botanical garden, more of the same!
