Share Your World–October 2, 2017

Share Your World

It’s been awhile since I’ve participated in Share Your World, and I’ve missed you! Here are Cee’s questions for this week, and my answers. I hope you’ll share your world, too!

If you were given the opportunity to ride in a helicopter, would you go?
Yes! We did avail ourselves of this opportunity on a trip through Myrtle Beach, SC. We chose the least expensive option, just to try it out. There’s no lying about one’s weight–it is required to step onto their scale. This was our view from the air on an overcast day, which delayed our ride until it cleared to a certain point.

What are some of your favorite type of proteins to eat? (meat, seafood, eggs, soy, cheese, nuts)
Nuts, cheese, Greek yogurt, eggs, legumes, and chicken are my favorite sources of protein.

What would be your preference: Awake before dawn, at dawn, or awake before noon?
Looks to me like all three choices are before noon–LOL! However, my night-owl tendencies nullify the first two choices, most of the time.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
A ray of sunshine peeking through the leaves of the oak highlighted the bunny and inspired this photo.

Wednesday with Words

I went out to work in the garden recently, but my helpers got there first. I did clean up one end of the bed, then thought I’d reclaim the yarrow that had gotten lost in a sea of wildflowers. I ran into the helper at the bottom the page (SPIDER ALERT).

So, I moved to the other end of the bed–and found a Praying Mantis busily tending that section. I went for my iPhone, snapped their pictures, and called it a day.

In other backyard news, as I waited to pull out of the driveway today, I saw something in the road–as in something that had gotten run over. It was our wee opossum.

I drove to Lake Lawson Lake Smith park to walk, and found the gate closed. They’ve been doing some upgrades, and it should be open tomorrow. Since I was out, wearing shoes and camera in tow, I thought I’d go to the botanical garden to walk. Upon checking the down-sized wallet, the card wasn’t with me. So, here I am at home, and will soon spend some time with the treadmill. I hope you have a lovely evening!

This week the search is on for Starts with W, Week’s Favorite, and Pastel.

To save time, I’m sharing a “one-shot does all.”

The pastel green fennel in the background is wet from the rain, and this Monarch butterfly on milkweed is my Week’s Favorite.
