Friday’s Hunt v4.19
I’ve missed several letters this time around, can’t believe we’re up to S already! This week’s prompts are Starts with S, Metal, and Mineral.
Starts with S– The cool Shelf we found. I can hardly wait to put Stuff on it!
Also, Steeples in Savannah, GA
Metal–We saw lots of METAL at Myrtle Beach, SC.
Mineral–Peridot, my birthstone.
Missed last week, we traveled to celebrate Peyton’s 17th birthday and to see Taylor before she left for Guatemala.
This week we’re looking for Starts with L, Landscape, and Key.
Starts with L: Leaves
One of my favorite landscapes, looking forward to seeing it this fall.
How about a collection of keys?
Linking to Eden Hills
This week, we are looking for Starts with J, Car, and Outside.
Starts with J: Japanese Beetles
This would have been a good choice for ‘I’ last week: Infestation!
My favorite car, ’92 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo. It was mine for 16 years and still holds a piece of my heart. This is not my photo, it was provided to me after restoration by new owner.
I keep looking Outside to see if the hummingbird is still here.
Sorry to skip out on you last week, we traveled again to celebrate another birthday–mine!
This week we’re looking for Starts with I, Bowl, and Desire.
Starts with I: Irrigation
One of my favorite pastimes is taking the road less traveled. What better birthday gift than a backroad cruise?
Sure, this is a platter, but I wouldn’t have minded having a bowl of this! I guess I didn’t have time to focus and get the entire word ‘birthday.’ Ha! Yes, I shared the calories with the kids.
The desire was strong to check out that hammock–but it was on personal property and we heeded the ‘No Trespassing’ sign. Isn’t this inviting? (Another ‘I’ word!) It’s surrounded by the Rappahannock River.
This week we’re searching for Starts with G, Candy, and Latch
Starts with G: Great Egret
Found this one at Lake Lawson Lake Smith Park
Armed with only a cell phone camera today, I saw this Great Egret (below) at its usual dinner post near Hobby Lobby. (Shot through dirty windshield).
Food photography is not my forte.
Picked up my laptop Wednesday, hope to get back to “normal” blogging soon.
This week, looking for Starts with F, New, and Self (portrait)
Starts with F: Flower
New–Great Blue Heron showing off the newly built dock

This week we’re looking for Starts with E, Drop(s), and Happy.
Ears–Starts with E
The bunny makes another appearance this week. Sorry, I can’t get enough of this cute face.
Rain drops keep falling on my head 🎶
Northern Cardinal with no head feathers.
One of my happy places at Norfolk Botanical Garden.
