Cooper’s Hawk
My hibernation season is officially over. Two warm days in a row coaxed the camera and me out of the house. I walked at Lake Lawson Lake Smith city park, and was in the right place at the right time to see this Cooper’s Hawk–just before the crows served an eviction notice.
Pretty bird with those markings/coloration around the eyes. Yes I’ll agree, you got a great picture.

what a wonderful capture. When I hear the blue jays squawking and circling in groups I know a hawk can’t be far away 🙂

Hi Patti. Great photo. Mr. (or Ms.) Hawk is definitely involved in a neck stretch. Blessings to you…

I am happy to hear your hibernation is over, I have missed you. Been staying off of The Book of Face. Awesome click of the hawk! I have picked up my Nikon again and got some clicks, too. Good Morning, Patti!

The one anther is still up and down (thunderstorms today) but I have hope for warm weather once again. Rainy days are good for catching up on laundry and housework. 😫 some things never change—like my attitude, though I am very thankful to have a house to clean. Thanks! The noisy crows drew my attention to the hawk. Which Nikon do you have?

Nice. I can never move quick enough and get the focus zoomed in before they take flight. Great shot!

There was snow Saturday in Fredericksburg, but it didn’t last. This spring seems crazier than most!
