Friday’s Hunt v4.19

Friday’s Hunt v4.19

I’ve missed several letters this time around, can’t believe we’re up to already! This week’s prompts are Starts with S, Metal, and Mineral.

Starts with S–The cool Shelf we found. I can hardly wait to put Stuff on it!

Also, Steeples in Savannah, GA

Metal–We saw lots of METAL at Myrtle Beach, SC.

Mineral–Peridot, my birthstone.

Thanks, Teresa!

    1. Thanks, Sandra! I’ll be taking that “full” pic, soon. I think the shelf might be a work in progress and change over time. I have so much STUFF, hard to decide! LOL Interesting that you recognized the skyline difference. I thought the diagonal lines of the stairs added a nice touch to the landscape.

    1. Thanks, Darlene. We saw a full mantle with dentil detail from an 1820s home in an antique store–the price was way beyond our budget! But a friend and I stumbled onto this one in another shop, hubby approved, and here it is! It’s huge, so he put his skills to use designing a way to mount it to the wall without fear of it falling on our heads. I’ve missed by blogging buddies so much, but there’ve been too many things to do around here–when I sit down to read, I fall asleep! Hugs to you!

    1. I was delighted to find the shelf! And it was a much better price than an 1820s antique mantle I fell in love with–one that was solid wood to surround a fireplace (but it was a thing of beauty). The lighthouses are jigsaw puzzles. I decorate on the cheap. LOL Myrtle Beach has a really nice beach, but it wasn’t as enjoyable this time, so many people looking for a handout.

  1. That’s a right handsome shelf. I know you’ll fill it with great things. I like your pretty wall photos too.
Wonderful photos of Savannah Ga and Myrtle Beach, SC.
    Pretty peridot earrings.
Great finds for your Friday Hunt.

      1. Oh I see the pieces now. They’re really great looking as framed art.
I’m glad you all had a pleasant trip and a wonderful way to de-stress. I agree a blessing indeed. 🙂
