How cool! I think I’ve only seen a ‘stick’ once, long ago.
I didn’t realize there were so many kinds of moths until our daughter moved to a rural area. Moths would congregate on the siding during the day, and many blended right in. Some looked like leaves, it was amazing to see them.
Your dasher is a nice find, your picture came out really pretty. I call these ‘misqueto hawks’. Others call them ‘crane moths’. (Think that second one is right, I use the first.)
..
Thanks, Jim! I read they eat mosquitoes–who wouldn’t like having that around! I was surprised to see how many varieties there are in the insect field guide.
I’ve never been on a catamaran–this one looks huge! I’d love to see inside. There are so many dragonflies, I’m trying to snap their pics, but they don’t listen very well.
Beautiful captures, both of them, Patti! My guess is you were trying to link to All Seasons, but …I don’t see your entry on the linky list.
Please link up the gorgeous landscape or the amazing Blue Dasher before Wednesday evening – thanks so much! Have a fun week chasing more Blue Dashers:)
Thanks! I was waiting to link up–put it on my calendar so I didn’t forget. We’ve been out most of the day, so I’ll link shortly. Thanks for the reminder!
Yay Patti, thank you! I’m mostly out all Sunday too, but yesterday I was home earlier, so that’s why I wrote you, just in case you had forgotten to link up your image to All Seasons. Hope you enjoyed your vacation (first image) and being back to the grind stone is not too stressful! Have a lovely week!
The vacation picture was from 2014, but we recently made reservations to visit again this year. The anticipation is building and revisiting the photos added a spark. 🙂
The golf course certainly does look verdant. Hope you enjoyed your vacation. Great capture of the dragonfly! Thanks so much for joining Friday’s Hunt. Enjoy the rest of your week!
I love the I love the the dasher

I wonder if we went diving how many golf balls we would find. it is truly beautiful and verdant is the right word to describe it…

There might be some “famous” golf balls in there. This is one of the PGA courses.

Dragonflies don’t cooperate well for a photo shoot. 😉 Enjoy your day!

They sure don’t! I’ve only ever been able to photograph one.
The praying mantis is much easier. Of course, the one I photographed was distracted by a moth burger. haha
Have a blessed day. 🙂

LOL Moth burger! Yes, the hunter would hold very still.

Wow–that’s a cool golf course. I wonder how many balls end up in the water every day!

Probably a LOT of golf balls end up there! This one is on the PGA tour, so it’s a challenge, for sure. Thanks for visiting, Stephanie!
