    • Did you lose any trees, Shirley? That was such a pretty little bed of coleus, I couldn’t help but take a photo. I need to learn how to plant like that in my own yard! I’ve always admired all the work that goes into a quilt, and the handwork really stands out on a whole cloth quilt.

    • Thanks, Su-sieee! My sister-in-law had a huge, colorful coleus she kept in the window. That was before I paid any attention to house plants, and I thought it was the prettiest thing I’d ever seen.

    • This is true. At the quilt shows, there are very few whole cloth quilts. The traditional quilts aren’t seen much, either, mostly the artistic design ones prevail now that computer software is available to map out the piecing.

    • There were several trees down/leaning/sawed-off stumps, and the Enchanted Forest part was totally closed off. I love how all the detailed work stands out on a whole cloth quilt.

  1. That is quite the tall pine tree that fell. The coleus are very bright and cheerful for this time of year. Love the quilt. Sorry I’m so late to get around visiting this week. I do appreciate your participation!
