Willy Nilly Friday 5 No. 84

Willy Nilly Friday 5

1. It seems like forever since I’ve written a random post – and I don’t even know what this one is about, yet! Does that count as one thought?

2. We spent two days at Colonial Williamsburg last week, and walked over six miles each day – according to my Fitbit. I took very few photos, most of them were of the flower gardens and fences.

3. Last summer I bought a “succulent tile” at Lowe’s to put in an empty terra cotta container. This spring they have tiny yellow blossoms!

4. It rained 2/3 of the past weekend. I haven’t taken any bird photos for days! A beautiful Blue Jay visited this afternoon. You’ll have to take my word for it. Where was my camera when I needed it! I am totally discombobulated! I will share the High Mallow, instead.

5. I’m really excited to go for my annual mammogram tomorrow! Then I’ll be totally discom-boob-ulated. Have a happy day!

Friday’s Hunt v1.22

Friday’s Hunt

This week’s challenge is to find something for the letter ‘V,’ Week’s Favorite, and Sunshine. I’m glad we didn’t have the sunshine requirement before this, for there was little to be found!

I thought I might have to take up the violin, but then I remembered the trusty Vitex! This was taken in a previous year, as it hasn’t bloomed yet this spring.

My favorite this week was taken with my iPhone 6 Plus by my brother-in-law during our visit to Colonial Williamsburg.

I liked the sunshine on the horse’s mane in this shot. This, too, was taken in Williamsburg.

Wild Bird Wednesday #200! – Osprey

Congratulations, Stewart, on 200 Wild Bird Wednesdays! Thanks to all who participate and make this possible. This week on WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY, I’m sharing a day in the life of an Osprey. Clicking on a photo brings up the slideshow, and scrolling over an image reveals the captions.

Share Your World – 2016 Week 21

Share Your World

I’m getting a late start to blogging this week with a devotional to write and family visiting from out of town.  Let’s get this party started! Here are Cee’s questions and my answers for this week. I hope you’ll share your answers, too!

What is your favorite go to beverage?  Water, coffee, tea, coke, soda (non-alcoholic)
Water, but I do like iced tea occasionally.

Can you change a car tire?
I can’t, but I know how.

Are you a listener or talker?
It depends on the other person in the conversation. If they want to talk, I listen, and vice versa.

Would you rather have no internet or no cell phone?
Oh, Cee, you’re killing me with this one! I guess I could do without my phone if I had internet.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful to have spent the last two days with family from out of town; and I look forward to visiting Colonial Williamsburg.

Friday’s Hunt v1.21

Friday’s Hunt

This week’s prompts are Starts with U, Week’s Favorite, and In the Morning.

I had the perfect view of the Underside of a Stink Bug on the window today, but I couldn’t get the focus or correct light to take the shot. So, I had to search for something else for that prompt.

Hubby dug a trench to define the edge of the flower bed. The next day, the Underground Inspector came to check his work…

Underground (Starts with U)

…and see if he excavated any peanuts.

Good Fences #113

Good Fences #113

This fountain greeted us as we exited the theater earlier this week. We saw The Abolitionists documentary regarding the efforts of a small group of dedicated warriors to free as many as possible from the scourge of human trafficking. If you have the opportunity to view it in your area, I hope you’ll go and support this important work.

I just happened to notice a fence in the background so I’m sharing it with you and Good Fences this week.
