2. It’s been hot and humid some days. 

The Mourning Dove has the right idea to cool off. They don't often use the tall birdbath.

  1. No I do not think the butterfly was hiding from you, she was very hungry and intent on eating! Looks like a peaceful place to relax and take in all the beauty. Great shots, all of them

  2. Poor Cardinal, Patti. Brings back an oldie goldie, Nobody wants you when you’re old and grey. Kinda how he looks. Still, all the photos are great, even the spider.

    • Thanks, Sandra. Various seating options were available on both porches. It’s been a long time since I sat on a porch swing, I tended to aim for that when I had the chance.

    • I hope you stuck around long enough to see the butterfly. 😉 She was quite the surprise, weaving her web in the window right above the sink–at eye level. I felt like I got to know her!
