    • I met the neighbors, and the dog, too! They all seem very nice. The Downy juvenile didn’t land on the same branch as its dad–it looked like it was hanging on for dear life!

  1. We have woodpeckers in our yard too, so pretty. That was some storm Thursday night!
Your High Mallow is beautiful! Hope you have a good weekend with your family, Patti.

    • I like the woodpeckers. The Red-bellied haven’t been around, only the Downies. There’s been a lot of lightning with the storms lately. The Mallow was one of the first plants I bought. To see it return year after year is a delight. It didn’t look very good the last couple of years, insects infested, etc. This year we added fresh soil for the wildflower garden where the Mallow is and it’s much happier. Have a safe and happy weekend, Shirley.

    • Baby birds are so much fun to watch. The Downy came to the oak with Dad, but overshot the branch the adult landed on. It looked like it was hanging on for dear life. Sunny skies this afternoon, and I’m headed home! Good afternoon, Pix!

    • The neighbors seem to be really nice folks. Yesterday I got to meet the dog, too! You have a great week, also! We’re taking one of the 611 excursions out of Roanoke this weekend. πŸ˜€
