Wild Bird Wednesday #141–Northern Cardinals

Wild Bird Wednesday

It’s hard to see in the first photo, but the male Northern Cardinal brought an insect to the unimpressed female. She refused his gift and told him she’s not that kind of girl. She continued to peck at the seed on the ground.Β

A sweet moment–photo bombed by a pigeon.

He returns to the fence and looks right, then left, in search of another female to strike up a courtship.Β

  1. What lovely bird photos! πŸ™‚

I’ve only seen one cardinal in my life (in reality years ago, on the Canadian Prairies, in the middle of winter of all times! I think he was off course in a big way but it was such a thrill at the time, for me.

Have a happy and blessed Easter Patti. πŸ™‚
