  1. The Cardinals around here love to eat the cat food! They start out in the Crepe Myrtle, move to the chain on the swing then hop to the table where we feed the cats. So fun to watch!

    • Bears! I wouldn’t put them out in summer in that case, either! I sure would miss seeing the birds close up. We have the occasional raccoon or opossum visit. Every so often, a young bear sets out from the Great Dismal Swamp to find his own territory, usually in spring, and ends up in a neighborhood somewhere.
