Wild Bird Wednesday 117–Red-tailed Hawks

A couple weeks ago, our local Wild Birds Unlimited store had special guests. Sacred Friends rehabilitates injured wildlife. They brought two Red-tailed Hawks in to spread awareness of the work they do on behalf of wildlife in Virginia.

The male snuggled like a baby into the lap of one of the handlers.

They tried to position the female to appear to be sitting on hubby's shoulder, but it wasn't working out very well. He was a good sport about it, though.
