I imagine the control tower has an amazing Skywatch view.

  1. I never thought about it, but I bet they do have a great 360 degree view of the sky and on the ground below, too.

I live about 11.5 miles from the airport and I can watch planes taking off and landing from my bedroom, except I can’t see the runway through the trees. Thankfully, they do not fly over our house.

    • We can see them making their final approach from our house, but it’s still a good way off. They come in very close to the ground where my husband works, and one area of the interstate (at the runway’s end) looks like they’re going to land right on it, Robin. We enjoy watching them from the botanical garden, which borders one side. That’s where this was taken.

  2. Wouldn’t it be lovely to see that view? Great shot! We can go up a tower like this one at the Air and Space Museum not too far down the road, but even though I have been to the museum several times now, I have yet to go up the tower. Happy Sunday 🙂

  3. Do you ever wonder if folks who have great vantage points ever really notice the view? I think that about ferry workers, bridge tenders, etc. I’m sure they have to appreciate the beauty of the sky – at least sometimes!

  4. I give you a lot of credit for keeping up with all these sites. I guess it keeps it interesting for you. I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with my blog. I’ve really slacked off lately. I am working on a book about my dad and trying to devote my time and energy to that right now, but I don’t want to give up all the work I’ve put into it so far. So I’m just trying to glide along for now. I miss corresponding with everybody though and am trying to get back to it a little more.

    • Hi, Christine. It was great to follow your vacation posts. It’s hard to focus on different writing projects at one time. At least, it is for me. I’m glad to hear you’re working on a book about your dad. I’m sure that’s rewarding, and keeps him close to your heart. How are your “kids” doing since moving, etc.?
