We discovered a new trail at the botanical garden that led to the lake. The Great Blue Heron was preening its feathers…

As we drew near, it decided to keep an eye on us.

…until we came along.

    • Thanks for your vote of confidence, Margie. I took the camera for a neighborhood walk today, but was hesitant to shoot anything that moved (or stood still) like with my old, comfy camera. So I came home and practiced in the backyard for a while. So much to cram into my beany brain!
