Virginia Beach does a nice job landscaping and fencing the neighborhood parks scattered throughout the city.

  1. Two parks have recently opened in our neighborhood. Splash pads for kids in the summer, doggy park complete with pond, cool rock climbing structures. They did a nice job! Grandson rides his bike through the trails several rounds = miles of exercise + he always meanders to the doggy park to meet another friend.

    • That sounds like a really nice park, Georgette. A splash pad would be fun–I wouldn’t mind having one of those in my backyard! That’s great to have a safe place for kids (and adults) to ride bikes.

  2. Hi Patti, how nice to find a blogger from VA Beach. I lived there for a little while and we still visit family and friends there. Lovely photo of the park. Have a great weekend!

    • I didn’t know you’d lived here, Denise. Give me a shout out if you’re in the area and have some time. I know that’s short supply when visiting family and friends.

    • We still have a small section of chain link on one side of our yard–been there forever, Janna. (At least it looks like it has). I imagine the white looks nice, but wouldn’t want to paint it.

  3. We started a fence like that to make a garden area in our yard. That was probably over 15 years ago and we still haven’t finished it. We need dynamite to blow the post holes in our hard red Georgia clay. haha

    • The place where I grew up had a hedge rather than fencing. I like the look of fencing, as long as it doesn’t require a lot of maintenance, Linda. Yes, everything is sporting lovely shades of green now. I couldn’t help but notice all the different shades of green as we traveled this past weekend.
