Share Your World–2014 Week 10

Cee has our questions asked, now we just need to come up with some answers, and Share Your World.

Describe yourself in a word that starts with the first letter of your name.

Peaceful.

If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you’d find leading a more satisfying life than yours?

Ten. That’s a nice, round number. I’m fairly satisfied with my life, there are things I’d still like to accomplish, so I’m leaving room to grow.

If you were a tree, would you become a book or furniture? Please describe.

I’d want to be a birdhouse.

You are trapped in an elevator, who would you want to be trapped with?

The elevator repairman, of course!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful to have had a few days that felt like spring just might be on the way.
A new Strathmore online workshop started today, Back to Basics, taught by Earnest Ward. (That’s a link to his blog and bonus video) I’m looking forward to improving my drawing skills (or lack thereof).
The workshop is free, and here’s a link if you want to sign up:

This was my project for the day (which still needs some work)–

drawing of Pfaltzgraff flower pot

I hope you’ll share your answers in the comments below, or create a post and link to Cee’s blog.

  1. Great, I’m first for once.
    #1. Dynamic
#2 I think ten is also a good number
#3 If I could no longer stand tall in a forest spreading beauty to the world I would want to be a book spreading joy.
#4 A good storyteller like Alice Hoffman or Margaret Atwood (you already have the good looking repairman)
#5 I’m grateful for having had a nice birthday last week and I’m looking forward to reading a chapter of my WIP to my critique group this week.

Have a great week, I love your flower pot drawing!

  5. Your sketch is beautiful! Here are my answers:
    1) I like to think I’m devoted….to my family, friends, causes…
2.) Very low number….maybe 10. I think my life is very satisfying!
3.) A book: a journal, specifically. I make note every night of what we did that day.
4.) My husband….with his cell phone in his pocket.
5.) Time spent with family and friends. I’m looking forward this week to meeting a blogging friend for the first time!

    1. I’d so devoted fits you perfectly, Dianna. I like that you journal every night–a habit I should get back into. Good answer to #4. No doubt MM would get you out of there in no time! Would that be Georgette, by any chance?

  6. I think the birdhouse is a perfect response for you! (And I had to laugh at the elevator repair man.) I can never think of a “j” word that describes me. I think I need a new name 🙂

  7. I enjoyed your sharings this week. I too like the birdhouse response.
I really like your sketch. I see great potential there. I think you should sketch pictures for your stories, I think you’d do an awesome job. 🙂

    1. Thank you for those sweet, encouraging words, E.C. I hadn’t thought of sketching for the blog. This is the first drawing I felt comfortable sharing. I shall continue to practice.

  8. Ok Here we go…
    Joyful in the Lord
0 I have all I could ask for. Food, clothing, shelter, a healthy family.
    Furniture. I love to decorate!
Someone who could make the best of the situation.
I am grateful for warmer days. And I’m looking forward to more warmer days that are ahead!
Your drawing looks great! Can’t wait to see the finished version!
