    • TBM, he’s hanging onto the pole that holds the bird feeders. The circular thing above his head is a baffle to keep squirrels and raccoons from eating the seed. It doesn’t show up very well in this picture, does it? Sorry.

    • Good morning, Pix! Oops, it’s afternoon again! Where does the day go? It does have a lot of brown on it, but it has a white belly. Maybe it’s a hybrid gray squirrel?

  1. Aww…you didn’t want to feed the cute little guy? I had one of those perches where they could sit and you’d push an ear of dried corn onto a stake…kept them happy (and away from the bird feeders) for hours.

    • They’ve never been able to get there from below, but if I let the “volunteer” plants in that area get too tall, they’ll jump from there. We started working on that bed last year, but are trying to maintain a sheltered landing area for the birds until the plants we want there grow, or get purchased and planted! It’s a work in progress.

  2. For some reason, I could hear the Mission Impossible music play while I went through the photo sequence. Secret Agent Squirrel preparing for Operation Shakedown (as in shake those seeds down.)

Sorry, it’s late and I think I’m a little silly! I got a few squirrel pictures in DC. I thought of you when I took them.
