    • TBM, my husband found out he likes startling the red-winged blackbirds. Says they’re so pretty when they take off and the red is exposed. He said he didn’t do it on purpose. 🙂

    • Georgette, flying squirrels actually have a membrane that spans the area between the fore- and hind-legs, acting much like a parachute. I’ve never seen them other than pictures, but my mother-in-law said they got into their attic one winter.

  1. Your leaving photos are really good, they’re a fun way to think about if the critters didn’t leave for a bit, then it wouldn’t be as exciting when they return. lol 🙂
