As usual, I had my head in the clouds; but that wasn’t what left this indelible mark engraved there.

Interesting. Not sure what I’m seeing, but last weekend we saw contrails in the sky. Creative for “engraved”!

I think that’s what it is, though there was no sign of an aircraft, just a fully-clouded sky resembling two pieces of quilt batting loosely stitched together.

nice contrail.

Thanks, Theresa. 🙂 The rest of the sky was fully clouded, just this one little “seam” in it.

This one reminds me of a soft, cottony baby’s blanket.

It does resemble a blanket to me, too, Maxi.

Your cloud photo looks like a piece of contemporary art — would expect a painting like it to hang in some gallery.

Interesting thought, Kitty. I hadn’t “seen” it that way.

Thanks, Nancy. That photo has been sitting around awhile, wasn’t sure what to do with it as it was so unusual, but it needed to be shared. Thanks for providing the stage.

Well, what I see is a great page for an art journal. A good starting background to work on. Sometimes I take photos I call texture shots, which are just that. It could be grass, a patch of weeds, bark on a tree or clouds. So this makes a good texture shot for what could be an ethereal piece. Guess I better start watching the clouds more. Nice shot.

I’ve taken texture shots, too, just haven’t done anything with them yet. I plan to change that in 2012! Thanks for stopping by, Coleen.
