Patti,
What a feat to capture four of those fleeting little critters in the same shot! You must have your camera at the ready all the time.
Blessings,
Kina
It only looks impressive, Kina, they were too busy chowing down on sunflower seeds. I had a captive audience.
Impressive that you had the savvy to put down so much tempting food to keep them occupied then, lol.
Put out seed and they will come, Kina.
And keep the camera handy, too.
Can’t do that in our urban setting. However, it looks like we’ll be moving to the sticks within the next month or so (shhh, you’re the first to know) and I’m definitely going to keep that in mind. Thank you.
Your secret is safe with me!
And a few blogging friends. I hope you enjoy your new environment.
Well, the secret’s out now, at least into the blogosphere, lol. Total strangers know before some of the closer to home folk. I’m really hoping this all works out. Prayers please.
You’ve got ‘em!
So fun to watch these guys!
They are quite entertaining, Nancy.
All you can eat at Patti’s buffet!
Next I’ll need to buy them a treadmill, Dianna. They are building up their fat stores, that’s for sure.
Oh yeah Patti I have no doubt that those seven squirrels knew right where to go where peanuts and fine dining for squirrels and birdies are the bestest. And those seven squirrels are going to be telling their friends. Good Friday Morning Patti!
Good Friday afternoon, Pix! I was thinking to hang a neon sign, “Hot Peanuts Now!” (Like the one Krispy Kreme has when the doughnuts are fresh).
Ooo Krispy Kreme! We saw KK in St. Louis yesterday! Yeah you could hang a neon sign but I bet word travels fast there at your house!
Mr. Cardinal enjoying some fine dining at your place makes for a very nice header for the month of February where the color red seems to be very happy!
I wanted to change it for February, hopefully I can get a better picture of him.
Love it!
Thanks, Susan.
Adorable!
Thanks for stopping by, Brandi!
Love it!
Thanks for looking, Adrienne, and hosting, too!
i’ve had as many as 8 at once. just amazing! and cute.
Things get really busy when new ones arrive, Theresa, the chase is on and territories are established. But you probably already know this. Thanks for stopping by!
How cute…and I’m so glad you’re not one of those people who try to run them off…squirrels need to eat too.
I feel a lot better about them this year, now that they can eat and there’s still food for the birds, Patti.
It must have been quite the celebration at your fine place. I see lots of frolick and joy. Lol.
I wonder what they were celebrating, Angelia? There was a good bit of frolicking!
Probably a birthday or maybe Groundhog Day is a holiday for them. LOL.
I’ll bet it was Groundhog Day, Angelia!
I’ll be stopping by for dinner
We’ve got nuts and seeds and fruit–I’m sure you’ll find something to your liking, Robin.
lol awesome a herd of squirrels. Cool!
LOL A herd is a good description, E.C.
awww i really LOVE this!! an awesome choice!!
Thanks, Debbie!
Aw, they are soooo cute! I heard your place has the best peanuts and bird seed east of the Mississippi. Squirrels get the word out
LOL Janna. That squirrel-mail is fast!
haha…what a scene…love EC’s comment re: herding squirrels…and I do like your red header. Nice.
Thanks, Georgette. E.C. nailed it!
Great pictures. Squirrels are a lovely part of our world out here in Kentucky. I see them just about every day.
Tim
Thanks, Tim, great to see you!
You must have a super fast shutter. Squirrels are hard critters to capture – at least they are for me. You seem to have no problem!
Renee, the only movement was the shoveling action of eating seeds.
What a fun post. Also, loved your bird photos in the two previous posts.
Thanks, Anni.
It always tastes better if someone makes it. Or in this case buys and scatters it
I’ve always heard that, Sara, and from my experience, it’s true most of the time. I suppose it works for squirrels, too.
I love watching these critters. Miles wants to play with them, but they are a little snobby.
TBM, they just don’t know what a good heart Miles has.
